Welcome to Madison Academy’s Physical Education Department. My name is Mr. Mills and I teach P.E. to a variety of the students in the school, Mrs. Schupbach-Smith will also be joining the P.E. department which I am very excited about. This is my 4th year at Madison Academy. It is really important that all students bring tennis shoes to wear, they will not be able to participate if they do not have any and I really do not want anyone to miss out on my class. If this is a problem please contact me and we can work out a solution. Grades 4 and up are required to change into the P.E uniform for class (navy blue shorts, sweatpants, culottes, 'skorts' and t-shirt). Not doing so will impact their grades in the class, again if this is a problem please contact me and we can work out a solution.
While the weather is warm we will try to be outside as much as possible. Please make sure your child is bringing gym clothes (4th and up). A spare pair of shoes and socks can be very useful to, especially for the morning classes as the grass can stay a little wet for much of the morning hours.
Finally, good news the gym floor is almost finished we hope to be using really soon!

I am always excited to receive sports equipment from student and parents. If you find an old badminton racquet, basketball or anything else laying around during your spring cleaning I would love to use it!! As the P.E. program grows keeping up with equipment needs can be a challenge and I really appreciate the support I have received in the past.
